Warm Olive & Herb Flatbread

Inspired by the blessed olive mentioned in the Qur’an.

Ingredients

2 cups flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp instant yeast

¾ cup warm water

2 tbsp olive oil

½ cup olives, sliced

1 tsp dried oregano or thyme

 

Method

Mix flour, salt and yeast in a bowl.

Add warm water and olive oil and knead into a soft dough.

Let rise for 45 minutes.

Press dough flat, sprinkle olives and herbs on top.

Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 15–18 minutes.

Serve warm with olive oil and honey.
