Day 20

Today is the 20th day of Ramadan, and this morning I began reading my fourth Qur’an of this blessed month.

The Qur’an never feels repetitive. Each time I read it, it feels riveting — filled with the beautiful words of our Lord and Creator of the universe, and every reading reveals something new.

My Arabic transliteration still helps me read faster while maintaining the flow of tajweed, and I often find myself wondering where the time came from. This Ramadan I also started my blog, which as many of you know can be time-consuming, yet Alhamdulillah Allah placed barakah in my time and I have managed to keep up with my Qur’an recitation.

My thoughts are also turning to the Umrah journey my family and I are preparing for. Eleven days ago conflict began in the Middle East, bringing disruptions to flights and plans, turning excitement into moments of anxiousness.

Yet my heart remains firm in tawakkul. We believe that Allah invited us, and we accepted by making the preparations. Our trust is in Him to make what seems difficult easy and to grant us safe travel and return.

As I end this reflection, I humbly ask that you remember us in your du‘as, and that we all continue to make du‘a for peace in the Middle East, that Allah brings about peaceful negotiations and safety for all.

If you have been following my Ramadan reflections, I warmly invite you to continue journeying with me on my blog and Instagram, where I share daily inspirational posts focused on keeping our hearts connected to ibadah during this beautiful month.

The Spice Series has now concluded, and in the coming months I hope to add more to it.
A new series has begun today — Food from the Qur’an & Sunnah, where we explore Qur’anic verses, Hadith, benefits, and beautiful recipes inspired by these blessed foods.

A special mention to my niece Humaira Patel, whose suggestion inspired this series. Please keep her in your du‘as for good health and barakah in all that she does.

Thank you for listening, reading, watching and engaging with me.

Until next time, may you have a safe and blessed Ramadan, and may Allah grant us all the blessing of witnessing and experiencing Laylatul Qadr — the Night better than a thousand months.

✨ Ramadan reminds us that when we make space for the Qur’an in our lives, Allah places barakah in our time, our intentions, and our journey.

Ameen.
