Harissa Spice Blend (Moroccan)

Makes about 1 cup
Ingredients
• 10 dried smoked red chilies (stems removed)
• 2 tablespoons cumin seeds
• 2 tablespoons coriander seeds
• 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
• ½ teaspoon whole peppercorns
• 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
• ½ tablespoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon smoked salt
• 1 teaspoon dried parsley
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Method

  1. Lightly toast cumin, coriander, and caraway seeds.
  2. Grind dried chilies into flakes.
  3. Blend all ingredients into a fine powder.
  4. Store airtight.
    Beautiful on: Meat, fish, roasted veg, couscous.
