Jamaican Jerk Spice

Makes about ¾ cup
Ingredients
• 1½ tablespoons onion powder
• 1½ tablespoons garlic powder
• 1 tablespoon ground ginger
• 1 tablespoon dried thyme
• 1 teaspoon white pepper
• ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon
• 1 tablespoon ground allspice
• 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
• ½ tablespoon ground nutmeg
• 2–3 tablespoons coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
• ½–1 tablespoon aromat or umami seasoning (optional)
• 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper or Scotch bonnet powder
Method

  1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl.
  2. Adjust cayenne depending on desired heat.
  3. Store in an airtight container.
    Perfect for: Chicken, prawns, grilled corn, roasted vegetables.
